Hey Guys,
So I need your help BIG TIME.
Bellow is a link of a Doritos commercial I did for the “Crash The Super Bowl” contest. I need you to go to this website and watch the commercial. I also need you to sign up on the website, and make comments about the spot. After January 5th, you then will be able to vote for the commercial to see that it makes it on TV during the Super Bowl.
Thank you all for your support.
GOD BLESS,
Ryan Paul James
It has been way too long since my last post, but it in my defence, I have been very busy.
I only have 4 more performances of “A Lonely Impulse Of Delighht”. It has been a long run, 5 months, but I have enjoyed every moment. It is time to move on, and my play “Night Stories” ,that I have written and will be directing, opens September 4th in Hollywood, CA. We may also open in Boston, but still waiting to hear about that. This is a brand new script, and auditions begin this Monday. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about this play. It takes place in early 1940’s Hollywood, and those that come out to see it will be taken back to “The Golden Age of Hollywood”. Something that I am doing, this time around, is honoring entertainers who have had a great career in Hollywood. Some of the following have agreed to be a part of the festivities: Gavin Macleod, Sally Struthers, Carol Burnett, Mickey Rooney, Pat Boone, Art Linkletter, and a few more surprises along the way. If you live in the LA area, please come on out to Theatre 68. We open September 4th and run to the middle of October. More info to come in a couple of weeks, like how to get your tickets.
Lots of great things happening on the west coast, and I promise to be better about updating my blog in the future.

Great things are happening.
I am less than 3 weeks away from opening “13 By Shanley”. I am doing the one act called “A Lonely Impulse Of Delight”. Co-starring is Izzy Diaz (Redacted, Entourage), and directing is the great actor Leo Rossi (Analyze This, The Accused). There are over 50 actors involved. To name a few: Joe Mantegna (Godfather III and Criminal Minds), Sally Struthers (All In The Family), Danny Nucci (Titanic, World Trade Center), Michael Rooker (Tombstone, Jumper), Michael Beihn (Terminator, The Rock), Bobby Costanza (City Slickers, Friends), Ronnie Marmo (Dueces Wild, West of Brooklyn), Angela Pupello (Broadway’s The Drowsy Chaperone), Danny Cistone (Dueces Wld, West of Brooklyn) Etc…
We are all performing in “13 by Shanley”, which are 13 plays written by Academy Award Nominee, John Patrick Shanley (Moonstruck, Doubt). I cannot begin to tell you all how excited I am to be apart of this. For more information go to: www.theatre68.com. Tickets are on sale now, and I will update you all in next months blog.
Next week, I am filling in on “The Family Friendly Morning Show” on 95.9 KFSH FM in Los Angeles, CA. If you live out side of L.A. you can listen at www.fish959.com. Next week we have John Tesh on as well as Actor, Comedian Michael Jr. Monday thru Friday 5am to 10am P.S.T.

Well we are in a new year, and I promise that one of my resolutions is to put up a new blog every month. I know I am 3 weeks late in saying this, but, “Happy New Year”.
I believe 2009 is going to be an incredible year. A couple of my resolutions, after carefully thinking about them, is one, take more risks this year, and two, take time for other people. I will explain the later in a minute.
First, I want to take more risks this year. I never want to be one of these people who later on in life ask the question, “What if?”. I want to take risks in every aspect of my life: acting, radio, hosting, and life in general.
Second, I want to take time and help others who are less fortinate than myself. It is so easy to live in Los Angeles, and get caught up in your own life and forget about others around you. I believe that Los Angeles is one of the most selfish cities there is.
2009 is starting off so much better than 2008.
I have recently been cast in “The Shanley Festival” at Theatre 68 (www.theatre68.com). This is going to be a big deal out here in L.A., and I can’t wait to get started. John Patrick Shanley (”Doubt”, “Moonstruck”) is an Academy Award winner, who I admire so much, both as a writer and a director. I have always wanted to do his one act play “A Lonely Impulse of Delight”, and the character of “Walter”. Now I have the chance to do it, as well as working with a terrific character actor, Leo Rossi (”Analyze This”, “The Accused”). Leo is going to direct, and from my conversations with him, it looks like we are on the same page as to what to do. Very excited about working on this. We open the first week of March, and for more information go to: www.theatre68.com.
A week from this Tuesday, I go back to hosting “Rewind”. It is going to be great getting back in front of the camera.
Talk to you all in February, where I will have more updates, and let’s see how I am doing on the resolutions.
GOD BLESS,
Ryan Paul James
